Absolutely gorgeous shoes and the quality is felt. I'm between 8 and 9 so I went with an 8 - I felt the tightness initially but it's gotten more and more comfortable over time. I felt that a 9 over time might get too loose in some parts and feel tiring on the feet. That being said I see myself having these shoes for maaaany years so I imagine they'll break in to just the right size.

These are very comfortable. I’m typically an 8.5 and ordered a size 39 (9 US) since I have bunions and need a wide toe box. These are great!

Very comfortable, look great, true to size

Wow, these are just what I was looking for! Read about them in NYT Wirecutter review of lug-soled loafers and, after trying two different name brands and returning them, ordered these online. Sizing true, comfy right out of the box, perfect lines - including just the right heft on the lug sole. Nice soft matte black leather. Not cheap, but reasonable and good value for the money. They look great with everything. Really helping this 70-year old lady look stylish!

So comfortable and look great. Very well made. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on, which is unusual for me as I have a super high arch and shoe usually give me blisters! Super happy with my purchase.
