Wow, these are just what I was looking for! Read about them in NYT Wirecutter review of lug-soled loafers and, after trying two different name brands and returning them, ordered these online. Sizing true, comfy right out of the box, perfect lines - including just the right heft on the lug sole. Nice soft matte black leather. Not cheap, but reasonable and good value for the money. They look great with everything. Really helping this 70-year old lady look stylish!

So comfortable and look great. Very well made. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on, which is unusual for me as I have a super high arch and shoe usually give me blisters! Super happy with my purchase.

saw these shoes reviewed on wirecutter and comments were true to form, they were comfortable from the first minute. I went shopping in them on my bad feet for over 4 hours and they served me well. I also love patent leather and they look exactly how I want them to look. I am typically a size 9 to 9.5. I got a size 9 and it fits like a glove. the only other shoe i ever rave about are clogs that begin with a D.
