I was hoping the mesh portion would be a stretch material but it was stiff and awkwardly fitted so did not form to my foot. It bunched in some areas and bloomed out closer to the sole. They also were generally pretty square and blocky and unflattering. The images on the site make them appear much more delicate. I have pretty "average" sized feet. Neither wide or narrow and the fit is pretty good. I wear a size 8US and these sandals are true to size. From my experience with this band, you should always stick with your size rather than going up or down in size.Carissa R
