The style of these boots are great. I think the heel height, square toe, and the little raw edges and the tie are perfect for a staple black boot. My one issue is the sizing. I'm a standard 7.5 in nearly all shoes, and I ordered a 38. After about a week of wearing the boots I thought they were just extremely uncomfortable, which didn't make sense for the heel height and rubber soles. I put on my biggest socks one night because it was cold, and suddenly they were extremely comfortable and my toe stopped hitting the front. I think it's probably too late to exchange them, but if you're between sizes I'd say go down instead of up -- it makes a huge difference on comfort.
