As Vagabonds, exploring new places and environments has always been a great source of inspiration. Getting a glimpse from the everyday lives of creatives around the world brings a sense of home and togetherness - while inspiring us to appreciate and rediscover the little things in our own environment.

For the second part of our series, we visited content creator @ellenclaesson in Gothenburg. She shares the iconic landmarks and favourite spots of her hometown that fill a special place in her everyday life.

My name is Ellen, and I am a content creator with a background in fashion and design based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Fashion has always been a big part of my life, and an important way to express myself. I come from a small town outside Gothenburg, but I always dreamed of moving here one day. Now I have lived here for seven years, and there is no other town that feels more like home. I really love the energy of the people and the city’s relaxed vibe.

“The ocean is a huge part of Gothenburg, and we have one of Scandinavia’s largest harbours. Many areas in Gothenburg are surrounded by water, which is something that I really appreciate.”

There are a few places in Gothenburg that have everything in one spot – Bar La Lune and Angeli are two places where I love to spend my evenings. The food and wine are amazing, as well as the choice of interior. I often hang out in Slottsskogen, one of Gothenburg’s many parks. I take a lot of walks here all year round, and during summer it is home to a music festival – an opportunity to create a lot of great memories.

“We have a long main street in the city centre which ends in a square called Götaplatsen - surrounded by a theatre, art museum and concert hall. I love that this cultural place is being preserved!”
