American gothic

by Robert 25. March 2010 10:48

In the latest issue of the I-D magazine I get a feeling that one of the photo shoots is inspired by the famous painter Grant Wood and his "American gothic". The painting was originally made 1930 and has since then become one of the most parodied artwork within American popular culture. The people actually never stood in front of the house when it was painted and the people appearing on it never lived there, it is actually Grants sister and his dentist dressed up a certain way just to express the hard working, rural America. Anyhow, just wanted to say that I like the photo session, and Grant Wood.
