Trend spotting in Tokyo

by Hilda 15. May 2012 13:51

When cherry blossoms, or Sakura as they are called, started to bloom in Tokyo our designer Jasmina went there to do some trend spotting.

Did you know that Tokyo is the world most crowded town in the world? Over 35,7 million inhabitants. Tokyo also has more skyscrapers than New York!

In Yoyogi Park, one of the largest parks in Tokyo, she found these guys. They have looked like this in about 20 years and every Sunday they come here to dance :D

These Japanese slot machines were found in toy store with four floors in Ginza.
Ginza is said to be one of the world most fashionable shopping districts!

Pastel colour palette

by Sofia 9. May 2012 09:52

This season we all seem to have some sort of cravings for pastel colours :) I think this picture with our floral patterned "Flamenco" in illustrates the bright colours in a nice way! Image is borrowed from Danish Elle Magazine.

Voila!

This is what happens when you let Sweden's "queen of DIY" Anna Lidström transform a pair of shoes! Basically, all you need is a pair of stylish shoes, (our Leroc for instance), your imagination, a good glue and some cool materials!

Interested in doing the same thing yourself? Follow Anna's "step by step" guide where she explains exactly how to do! You find it on her website. The shoes you can buy here!

Get the style

In the latest number of the Swedish magazine STYLE BY I found this wonderful picture. The headline is “Flawless is more…“ and I couldn’t agree more! This simple and classic look is perfectly paired with our Leroc.

Hong Kong has a variety of busy street markets. But if you are in Hong Kong, a "must visit" is the fabric market with lots and lots of textiles in every material, colour and pattern!

Greetings from Hong kong

by Sofia 19. April 2012 17:12

As you might have noticed, our designers make trips every now and then to get new influences and ideas for coming projects. This time two of them went to see what Hong kong had to offer!

Enjoy the view! More posts from Hong kong will appear within soon...

Mama Shelter

by Sofia 3. April 2012 16:12

This hotel my colleagues stayed at when they went to Paris! Looks really nice, don’t you think? It’s created by the Triago family (co-founders of Club Med) and the French philosopher Cyril Aouizerate. The hotel is designed by Philippe Stark. Both the rooms and not least the restaurant looks truly inviting and warm I think!

Have a look at their website: Mama Shelter

Talk about eating with your eyes!
These gorgeous "Pantone food charts" is made by the French food blogger Emilie de Griottes. What a great combination of food and design, I just love the idea!

... Maybe I should do a version with our shoes? :)

What would you do with these on your feet?
