Since I won't be at the office any more this week I have to present this weekend warm-up already today... This week we salute a song by Tom Paxton who wrote the original and recorded it back in 1968. The song became a huge hit in Sweden 1972 when the song was translated and recorded by Fred Åkerström. Ever since, this song has been a true classic and known for all Swedes. The song? "I give you the morning", or "Jag ger dig min morgon" in Swedish. Now, the swedish group Kite has made a more electro cover of the song... I like it, do you?

If you have some hours, days or maybe years over, you might want to try what the amazing Danish artist Peter Callesen is doing... Peter is creating fantastic papercut figures out of ordinary paper. I do not know how he does it, but is totally amazed over the results. For more of his work pay a visit to his homepage or visit one of his exhibitions...

In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced the continuous distillation with which he made Absolut Rent Bränvin (Absolute Pure Vodka). Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. 100 years later, it was reintroduced as ABSOLUT. Just as then, ABSOLUT is produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birth town. The old expression now needs to be changed, so from now on it's; S*x, vodka and rock n' roll...

"Every man's memory is his private literature" said the English novelist Aldous Huxley once, and isn't it so that a photo can keep our memories updated. I do not know if the Korean designer Jung Hwa Jin had that in mind when he designed his vase similar to a Polaroid photo, but at least it's a good idea.
