Viewpoint seminar with David R Shah and Martin Raymond

by Robert 30. September 2009 22:15

Consumer trends are changing dramatically. The rules of yesterday are not valid anymore. What will be the new order after the recession? Can we imagine a different world and what will the winning concepts be? Easy to answer right? No, do not think so... However this was some of the topics the gurus David Shah and Martin Raymond touched when talking at the viewpoint seminar, organized by the amazing trend agency Colourhouse, in Gothenburg today.  There might still be a chance to listen to them when hitting of to Stockholm tomorrow and Lund the day after. I wanted to get to know these guys a bit better so please enjoy the following entries!

Now in the webshop!

by Robert 30. September 2009 09:31

From above:

Homel: Guys, dress up! Classic men shoes does not have to be similar to a bad looking suit... i know, that's how many men works it, but wear them with a slimmer silhouette or jeans.

Lennox: Menswear inspired shoes for women's is a key this fall. Think of Chanel or wear them with skinny jeans. Colours just add an extra flavour to a already first-class shoe.

Missy: High heels make your legs looks fab. Missy is made with a platform so it does not feels as high as it looks. Ideal for a party or why not spice up your regular office-wear?

The webshop is so far only available for Finland, Sweden and UK. All you others check out the closest retailer at the Vagabond homepage.

You got to have Faith

by Robert 29. September 2009 11:09

As an ex magician’s assistant, trained contemporary dancer, burlesque artist, actress and born in creative Hackney, London... I totally understand why artist Paloma Faith is having a major breakthrough! Her debut album "Do you want the true or something beautiful" was released yesterday on the 28th of September and will probably hit the no.1's within a close future... Paloma is not only climbing the charts of music, she is definitely the coolest cat in town when it comes to fashion... Press will soon be writing about the inspiring Paloma and asking themselves; Gaga who?

"Fantastic Friday"

by Robert 28. September 2009 08:47

Vagabond launched the concept "Fantastic Friday" about 4 years ago... Once and awhile, on a Friday, the company dresses up instead of dressing down in contrast to other companies and their casual Fridays... So we did the last Friday, and do my colleagues look fab or what? Hopefully this can spread in order to make the world a bit more beautiful... and hey! Don't forget that the shoes can be the thin line between being a hottie and a nottie, so to be safe, go for a pair of Vagbond!

A French kiss

by Robert 24. September 2009 11:18

The chairs from French Tolix have become a favourite among Swedish design magazines and blogs. Xavier Pauchard is the designer behind this success who already in 1934 designed this classic called Marais A56. The pile able chairs are manufactured in galvanized or varnished steel and is now available in a wide range of colours. Back in the days breweries use to give away these chairs to bars in exchange of that they sold their beer. Holla back at me if you find any cheap ones!
